Serendipity Sundays ~ A Little Dash of Good News for TEXANS!

Texas appears to be well equipped to handle a recession – According to Business Insider 8 cities in Texas made the top 25 list of cities to live through a recession. Austin came in #5.

Recent SmartAsset determined the most recession proof cities in the US by investigating data using 264 of the largest cities in the country and comparing 3 categories: employment, housing and social assistance. They utilized 9 metrics in formulating the rankings of each category with equal weighting.

At least we have a little good news for Texans. Austin is currently under a “Shelter in Place” restriction and we are all trying to keep our minds active and body and spirits healthy during this transition time.

“As we maintain physical distance from one another, we must work more closely than we ever have before.” Steve Alder Austin mayor

Good news for Texas, Dorie... no doubt about that. At the end of the day, I have a feeling that we will all survive any recession better than many people think.

Sounds like pretty positive news about Austin.
