Monday afternoon, we were so delighted to finally make it to the beach. On previous days, the winds kicked up to twenty miles per hour.
It was a perfect day for a long walk. Very few people were there. Everyone said hello and smiled. As we were strolling along, I noticed this man walking with his guitar, gently strumming it. Perhaps this guy felt the same way that George Harrison did about his guitar.
"I'm only myself when I have a guitar in my hands."
~ George Harrison.
What also came to mind was the song he wrote, "While My Guitar Slowly Weeps!"
Not long ago, the son of a dear friend who plays the guitar mentioned the performance of this song as part of the 2004 Hall of Fame Induction of George Harrison. This included Prince joining in to play his guitar. We enjoyed this live performance, and we hope you do too.
Wishing you a great April
