Home sales in Canyon Creek for March 2020 are out!
In March 2020 the average sold price increased year over year by 43%
The number of home sales increased by 200%!
In March 2019, 2 homes sold and in March 2020, 6 homes sold. New listings started to hit the market in February with 6 homes going under contact with average days on market of 2.5 days with multiple offers! Covid-19 hit in early March but Home Land Security deemed residential real estate an “essential” so we are working through our closings and listing new properties.
Amongst all the grim news the Insider Business named Austin in the top 25 for best places to live for recession proof cities (coming in at #5)!
Austin and surrounding areas never really experienced previous recessions like the rest of the country. The quality of life, weather and diversified economy continue to draw companies to Austin with new residents moving here in droves, even with the current pandemic.

As of March 31, 2020 there are only 3 active resale homes in Canyon Creek out of 1,330+ homes in the community.

As of March 31, 2020 there are 8 homes under contract. Buyers are anxiously waiting for new listings....... so many are in need of housing we just can't keep up with the demand!
Homes Sales in March 2020 The 6 sold properties were up 43% in sold price. Days on market in March 2020, was up 28% due to 2 homes with extended days on market who priced too high, made several price reductions and finally sold! Sold price/square foot was down 4% from March 2019. Larger SF homes sold in 2020. Small homes command a higher price/SF but the tide turned and larger homes kept pace and sold only slightly lower, as demand soared.
