This Week...One More Step Towards Tomorrow

 

With our Stay-at-Home directive in place, I continue to be grateful that our parks are still open.  Because we head out early, there are fewer people out which means fewer people we have to socially distance ourselves from.

When I went into the pantry there was a bag of chocolate chips staring at me. I had no other choice but to make about 4 dozen of the Original Tollhouse Cookies.

And yesterday, we dropped some off at the door of our friend who was celebrating his birthday today. We waved at him and played the Aggie War Hymn from my iPhone then sang Happy Birthday to him.

For those of you who spend any time on Facebook...have you checked your Time on Facebook since you’ve been staying at home? I just did and discovered that I was spending an average of 26 minutes a day on the site. My previous average was 5 minutes!

And speaking of Facebook, have any of you participated in one of the many games or post-a-picture that had a certain color in it?

Ok, ok, ok, I did. I have to admit it. I was tired of the news and wanted to check in on Facebook just for a second when I got suckered into one of those. I only play the ones that don’t make me follow a link somewhere.

Hi Kathy, I admit to more time on FB of late. I avoid the ongoing political commentary, but have enjoyed some of the positive diversions others are doing. It's a good place to feel connections to others at the moment.

Kathy except from going out daily to my office, and visiting my Realtor partner offices, my day tends to be much the same.  The time I would have spent visiting with my Realtor partners ant their office I now visit on the phone. 

So far I am safe from the Facebook games

We are experiencing rains here in Sacramento.  They are slated to last through Monday, possibly Tuesday.  There was no venturing out of the house today!

Hi Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD I agree. It's fun seeing the positive or funny posts on Facebook. I just do the ones where you don't have to click on a link!!! If you're not careful, you can get on Facebook and look up and discover you've been on the darn thing for an hour!

The cookies sound great! Your friend must have been thrilled! We made a favorite brownie recipe last night - sharing some today!!

All of our parks are closed but there are plenty of places to walk and still keep away from others. The beaches, sadly,  are closed as well.
