This Week...A Different Holy Week
This week would have meant preparing to have my whole family over for Easter dinner. That would mean a wonderful gathering of 35 + people.
We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine. Dwight L. Moody
Instead, we will be grateful that we are all safe and sound (so far) knowing that we will gather together when this is all over.
A flower blossoms for its own joy. Oscar Wilde
With the parks being closed, Larry and I have been walking around our neighborhood. Neither one of us minds because we both enjoy looking at houses and the different landscaping.
There are always flowers for those who want to see them. Henry Matisse
We found these cute chalk drawings on one of our walks.
Even with all the time we’ve had at home, I’m pleasantly surprised that neither one of us has binge-watched anything and that includes Tiger King. (I honestly couldn’t tell you how to even watch it)
Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime. Martin Luther
For many areas, places of worship may be closed. Families will have to celebrate via Zoom or House Party. But I know that every day that passes, means we’re all one step closer to being with our friends and family members.
Have a glorious weekend!
