2 1/2 C. 2% milk

1 egg beaten

1 tsp. salt

dash of pepper

3 C. cheddar cheese-shredded

8oz. pkg. macaroni, cooked al dente

Combine all ingrediants except macaroni, in crock pot.

Cook on high 1hr.  Add macaroni, and cook on low 4 more hrs.  Enjoy.

This beats any old boxed mac n' cheese!

You know what would spice this up is about a cup of Pace Picante sauce.

This sounds like a great meal to prepare before my Sunday morning golf game. Should be ready after my round, and I can pig out on the sofa while watching the NFL the rest of the day!

Penny.. I just tried this recipe over the weekend.. WOW was this good. My oldest son and I loved it.. my youngest still rather have the boxed stuff.  I don't think his taste buds have developed yet.

Once again, thanks for sharing.

This sounds great for a Thanksgiving side dish, plus it frees up the oven for the turkey and other items that require oven time.

Thanks for shairng.

Penny,

Have you tried fat free milk or reduced fat cheese in your recipe?

I'm always tring to cut the calories, but it doesn't always work.

This is just to easy. My mom makes it with the layering of flour, butter and cheddar cheese cut up in small cubes, so that is of course how I learned to make it.. It seems like it takes forever.

So we will definitely give this one a try!
