Contest? What Contest?? How to Find Monthly Contests.
Contests/Challenges are fun and typically we have at least one each month at ActiveRain. Years ago, I can remember when there were 2 contests going on in
one month!

There’s no rule that you have to enter or participate in a contest.
* Some members enter for points (btw...nothing wrong with that.)
*Some participate to support the person hosting the contest/challenge.
*Some participate because let’s face it...it’s not always easy to come up with a topic for a post. A contest provides one.
*Some enter simply because it’s fun.
And, even if you choose not to participate, the entry posts can be fun and educational to read.
One more thing...There IS a difference between a contest and a challenge. Contests mean there will be a winner(s) chosen usually for extra points. In challenges, everyone is a “winner.”
Oops...One more thing… Some contests/challenges are meant to get us to do what would be beneficial for us to do for our business...for example, writing long-tail search posts or local events posts.
Some get us to share a bit about us personally, which is good because it lets us learn more about each other.
Ok...how the heck do you find out if there is a current challenge/contest going on???
Look on the Feature page because they can be found there on the first day of the month.
If you see a thread in the post titles, you can almost count on there being a contest or challenge.
And finally, go to the CONTESTS section of ActiveRain.
