This is my first blog ever. I love the idea of sharing my thoughts and ideas with the world. I did give this blog a title of Real Estate is great in NC, so I will try to stay within the topic. I am a Realtor in the Research Triangle Market, Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Wake Forest, and the many small towns in Wake, Durham, and Johnston County. Our market is steadily growing without a real estate bubble in site. We are fortunate to have such an wonderful market. There are several factors fueling our market. The first is affordable housing. For years our appreciation rate has been at a steady increase of around 3%. This has kept home prices affordable. We also have a wonderful climate with mild winters and sunny summers. Our location is fantastic, as we are half way between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Crystal Coast. This gives residents many choices for long weekends. Wake County also has wonderful schools. With all of this said, I think one of the main factors fueling our market is that once people move here they invite their friends and family to visit and they also fall in love with the Triangle.

Robin - I LOVE Raleigh! How could anyone not?
I'm an ASP Professional Home Stager and the market here is so good compared to the rest of the nation. Most of my staged homes have sold in under 2 weeks. I find that most of the homes I stage are in the Cary, Durham, Apex area -- at 3.25 a gallon for gas I wish I would pick up some stagings close to home! I hate hearing people say the market is so bad because here its really not!
