We've Seen the Virus Magnified;
How Are We Looking Magnified?
The Magnifying Glass...
Is it Revealing Our Character or Our Cracks?
The pandemic is a magnifying glass and it's trained on us - mankind.
It has exposed people, revealed who they are during change, uncertainty and fear.
Some folks are very Positive and Uplifting, others are Chicken Little and their sky is falling.
Some people have vanished-where'd they go?
They do not return calls, texts or emails...why?
Others are more present than ever, funny and encouraging calls, posts and videos, etc.
Some people are performing amazing acts of kindness, charitable efforts and fun videos to lift our spirits. Other are spreading selfish negativity, doubt and fear.
I implore you to be the light, do not be diminished by others darkness.
Our Health has been exposed; where we were when we went into this pandemic
matters and likely determines how will exit it.
Our Marriages have been exposed; domestic violence and divorce is up by 50% while others are thriving.
I'm making extra efforts in mine personally, I want good memories to look back on. Taking extra time out of my daily work rituals to eat all meals together and walk our dog together.
Our Finances were exposed; some are in dire straights while others have not flinched,
in fact they are donating funds, food & blood to help. Our budgets, savings and our working relationships with money have created our current reality.
Our Businesses were exposed: some are unemployed, others "just waiting for this to be over", while a few got creative and carried on modified business and sales to stay afloat;
still others are still working as much or more than ever (like our frontline workers).
I got creative and proactive with today's loans, grants & forbearance resources: I did what I could to offset my reduced income with reduced debt.
Our friendships and relationships were exposed; who have you called since March 1st?
Who has called to check in on you?
Some news outlets have been exposed as Doom & Gloom outlets vs. others that showcase our Front-line Heroes and Average Joe's that do Above Average Acts of Kindness.
Who do you see
in the mirror today?
When you look back on Q2-Q3 of 2020, will you do so with pride or shame? Will you have some fun memories to reflect on because you chose to make the best of it?
My goal is to be proud of myself, to be in a better marriage & business, to have stronger relationships and have made good memories in spite of the pandemic & hardships.
My Humble Ask of You:
Let's be the rock, not the river.
Let's be the anvil that wears out many a hammer.
Let us be someone others can count on.
The real estate market is strong, we should be too!
The real estate market will bounce back, how about you?
"Stop waiting for it to be over.
This is your life, right here, right now.
Dig into it and find little and big ways to love the journey."
