Are There Gated Townhomes Communities in Danbury,CT?

I have had a couple of buyer requests from buyers looking for a gated townhome community in Northern Fairfield County,Connecticut. Unfortunately, the area does not offer any. Danbury,CT itself historically ranks as one of the safest cities of its size in the country according to FBI statics. I am not aware of any existing communities planning on adding a gate or any future devolpments in the works having a gate in Danbury,Bethel, Brookfield, Ridgefield and New Milford,CT. 

There is one townhome community in Danbury,CT that is semi-gated. That would be the Woodland Hills community of Shelter Rock Rock on the eastern edge of the city limits. There are two enterances and exits from the community. The enternace at the higher side of the hill has an electronic gate so residents can enter in from Shelter Rock Road, at the intersection of Faith Lane and Shelter Rock Road. The gate allows 1 car at a time to exit from the community.  You would get a fob from the previous owner or association from you purchase or lease a home in this community. The main enterance of the community, at the corner of Shelter Rock Road at Woodcrest Lane is not gated. The enterance is next to the pool and clubhouse. With any community that you are considering purchasing a home in, please do your due dilegence. Go by at different times or days of the week If possible, tour the property you are considering a couple of times to see you could feel comfortable there. Ask people if your network if there have heard of the neighborhood or know anybody that lives there. Review any available community newsletters or online groups. When you are touring homes, try to look at a couple of different floor plans if available in your budget to comparasion shop.  See how the neighborhood is maintained.We will carefully review sales of similiar properties establish value. Please review the bylaws and buget for the association once you have them,as they are typically order after the building inspection & formal contract is signed.
