It was a different kind of closing at the new house with the buyers, the closing notary, and the seller. I stopped by for less than a minute to drop off a check. The listing agent stayed in the car.
Everyone in masks and gloves carried on business and got the transaction done.

Closing this way certainly saves time, eliminates face to face contact, but is very impersonal. When available, I will always choose sitting at the settlement table with my clients and then sharing a meal afterward.
