Doom & Gloom or Beacon of Light? What Best Describes Your Zone?

Comfort ZoneI was recently asked what zone I am living in during this crisis. My choices were as follows:

FEAR Zone - 100% involved in consuming the most negative part of the news; they are motivated to politicize the crisis. They then share doom and gloom on social media…we all know those who are in that zone!

LEARNING Zone - This person stops consuming what is hurting them (food and news) and becomes more rational. They actively search a means to redirect their focus to a more positive platform.

GROWTH Zone - These people actively focus on bettering themselves while staying productive; executing their plans in a positive manner.

LEADERSHIP Zone - “How can I be of value?” This group is actively engaged in being a part of the solution, finding the light and leading others to it.

Step into the Leadership Zone

Of course, it didn’t take me long to recognize which zone I have been living in during the crisis. In fact, I live in that zone, and have, most of my life! As they say, garbage-in, garbage-out! If you live for negativity, you project negativity. I avoid that at all costs!

What zone have you been living in?  Know that you don’t HAVE to remain in any zone - and we often do fluctuate between zones, depending upon what life brings us. You can make a conscious decision to stop consuming sensationalism (because we all know that IS what sells!) and move into a more rational zone, the learning zone.

It doesn’t take long to move from the learning zone to the growth zone because one simply fills the time spent consuming & sharing negative information, with time spent bettering themselves & giving to others in the leadership zone.

Leadership is our mission - always

The key to making this move and doing so expeditiously is making a conscious decision to remove yourself from the negativity. Focus on YOU and your plans, both professionally and personally. Know that your move to the growth and leadership zones are evident, not only to those who are near and dear to you but, to your professional peers, your clients…the world!

Become a beacon of hope and make a conscious decision to live in the leadership zone - not only during a crisis situation but, in life in general. Enrich your own life by making the change, thus leading others to that beacon of light, hope and positivity.

Hi Roy, I have lots of friends on Facebook giving out there expert opinions. Then there is the evening news, seriously shoot me. I have decided to take the smell the roses approach. While I don't think things are as bad as they let on. I feel the it's out of my control, I just want to dwell on what is good. Love your flowers.
