Kailua Kona Market Reports - July 2011 - Number Sold -Hawaii County

Aloha, Lance here with Aloha Kona Realty Inc. Better known for my website wwwWestHawaiiCondos.com. Lets talk about the 30% increase in Condo sales for the month of July - You read it correctly - The number of Condos sold in Kailua Kona has increased by a little over 30%. I Know, my first rule is to not pay a lot of attention to the monthly reports, but rely more on the "Year to Date: (YTD) numbers.   Ok Lance?  what are the YTD numbers? We will get to that number in a minute, I just wanted to bring up one thing about July 2011 sales. Do you know I went back and looked, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, and finally when I got to 2005 - I found a July that had more sales than we did for 2011. I think that speaks VOLUMES for our local real estate market. 

OK - Year to Date......... 2011....... Sales are up by 8%....... So not only are we looking good for the month of July we are looking good for the year .... 2011 .... Just to kick it up a notch, I took a look back at 2010 sales - YTD for July 2010, we were up 114%, no that's not a typo - 114% - I think a jump like what we saw last year may have been a little unhealthy, and kind of takes away from how well we really are doing this year, But in the end - 2 years running, Sales UP, I cant complain.
