Boston Single Family Home Sales May 2008

In May 2008, Boston single family home sales decreased from 111 in May 2007 to 73 in May of 2008. This represents a 34.2% decrease in volume. Prices also decreased for the same period. In May of 2007 the Median price for a single family in Boston was $385,000. In May of 2008 the median price was $356,000.00. This is an 8% decrease in value. Based on the data, it is clear that Boston single family home sales continue to decline. Home buyers stand to benefit the most during these market conditions.
