How to Save Energy?

I was actaully thinking of writing a series of blogs regarding Going Green. Today I will just some tips for saving energy.

Go take a look your bed room or living room ....... Check how many remotes you have and how many clocks are lit? I actaully looked at my kitchen and found i have a microwave with a timer , an oven with a timer, a stove with a clock and a coffee pot with a clock.In my bed room i found two cable boxes with remotes and timers, a tv remote, a fan remote, an alarm clock, my ipod with a clock and there goes on the list................

Count each one as a power source. Even if the TV is not working or microwave not working the clocks and remotes are constantly searching for signals and there by using electricity. The MYTH is that since its off it is not using electricity. WRONG............... it uses almost the same amount of electricity as it is on. So when not in use complete turning the power off only will save energy. Statistics show thatTurning off computers , printers and fax machines at night saves an average $200 a year.

So turn off completly your devices when not in use...........

Save Energy...............

Save  Earth......

Save  our children..............
