While it may come as a relief that we can begin to resume life as normal, you must still be careful. The threat of transmission of COVID-19 is still present and has not changed much in the last few weeks. We urge everyone to remember that the lockdown was a strict measure to flatten the curve and prevent the ICU wards of our hospitals to be overrun. We have achieved that, but until better testing is present, better understanding of antibodies and an actual vaccine or antiviral treatment, COVID-19 will still be a part of everyone’s life. That all being said, sectors of the economy must begin to reopen in a safe and limited capacity so that we may ease into a full reopening of society. If you have received emails from your local hair stylists, tattoo parlors, restaurants you will know that some strict measures are being regimented to make those returning to work safe. Temperature checks before entering, sanitization of instruments in between each appointment, masks for both clients and employees, limitation on visitors including kids, and a flexible cancellation policy if the client in question is sick. We believe that is people can adhere to these rules as they are defined for each business, than we can begin to get people back to work who have lost their jobs. Along that line of thinking, if you are still able to work from home and stay home, you should. There will be a subset of people who can continue their lockdown, mostly unaffected by what has transpired the last two months. Those people should try their best to extend their current lifestyle where possible. As long as we all don’t make a mad rush for all the restaurants and parks, we can continue to coincide with this virus for the remainder of the year as we hopefully rush towards the end of the pandemic.

Hi Kevin:

There are many states that are also making some changes. It's a challenging time and hopefully whatever restrictions are altered will be done in a thoughtful way.
