Climbing on a Tree - A Memory from Childhood

I think we all have that one memory from our childhood about a favorite tree in our home, or in our grandparent's home, where we enjoyed to climb and huddle every time we can. It was our sactuary and we shared a lot of secrets with our friends there. I had my favorite walnut tree in our yard and it was my cool place during the long summer days.

Hello Steffy - I don't have any memories of tree-climbing as a child but I did have a somewhat unusual childhood fascination with visiting newly constructed home developments  in our area which was expanding at the time.

I enjoyed climbing trees when I was a kid, but I was scared of heights, so I wouldn't go up very high, haha.

We had a Walnut tree at the home I grew up in too.  In fact, I use to climb up it a bit to visit the rabbits in cages hung from the side of the garage.

Myrl Jeffcoat , walnut trees are great for climbing, and very friendly with all those solid branches. We had rabbits across from our walnut tree, too. :)

I loved to climb trees when I was a kid and grew up at a home where there were lots of them. I remember falling out of them a few times, too!

Hi Will Hamm , I have a childhood memory of the sleeper train compartment with tri-decker bunkers. I loved the top bunker as we travelled on 2-3 day journeys to different cities in Europe.
