Groundhog Day In May

It seems we can find similarities in a lot of things.  While concentrating and in times when seemingly nothing is occurring.  Recently, references to Groundhog Day, the movie, are playing over and over in my mind as associations to it seem repeat-worthy by some.

But, in my own reality, what happens each second of February year after year can happen any day.  And so can thoughts, conversations or any pondering for that matter.  Did I previously write this post?  Hmm.  I wonder.

This post is short and perhaps, sweet.  Now, are there any similarities that can be drawn to groundhogs and those words?  Well, February is the shortest month. Is it also the sweetest since it often includes candy and sentiments that are sometimes sugary.  I digress.  And, that can definitely happen any day.

Hi Michael Jacobs - What a great post (as usual)! I usually have to read your posts slowly or reread them to make sure I get all the double-entendre lines.

Normally, Groundhog Day starts my busy season.  I think I agree with you.  I have been super busy for all but the first 2 weeks of the shut-down.  Real Estate never closed in my MLS.

Hi Michael-And the older you get and the more you do and have done, you begin to wonder if you've done this before or just thought that you did.

Michael Jacobs, I find living here in Central Orlando Florida and we sort of forget about the February Groundhog as we always looked forward to when living years in Illinois and Wisconsin.  However, your post did remind me since the Covid-19, that many of my days could very well be similar, or feel similar as that in the movie.

Jane Chaulklin-Schott - sometimes location impacts the circumstances more than the timing or the actual events.  And other times, it's a combination of all three.

Michael:

No groundhogs around here as far as I know, but plenty of ground squirrels that live in the ground.

Perhaps with things opening up each day will no longer feel like the prior one of the next one...rather a blur.
