Extended Closure of Gaithersburg Facilites, Services and Programs

 

The City of Gaithersburg has extended the order to keep City facilities shuttered and limit in-person services through at least May 31, 2020. While select services remain available online, there will be no in-person events, programs, classes, sports, performances, or non-essential meetings through at least May 31. Traditional summer camps and other recreation programs have been cancelled and the Gaithersburg Water Park will not open for Memorial Day weekend. The City is in the final stages of creating a Phased Service Restoration Plan for all City programs and services and it will be made available on the City's website upon completion. For the rest of Memorial Day weekend, Arlington National Cemetery will remain closed to the general public but will be open to family pass holders to visit their loved ones’ gravesites.

The weather this weekend looks ideal for some safe, socially distanced outdoor activities! Montgomery Parks has extended their parkway closures through May 25th. These road closures open up more space for pedestrians & cyclists to safely enjoy the outdoors! 🚴‍♂️
