Our largest family and first publicly-owned water park (Water World) in the Denver metro area will not open for the 2020 summer season. It was determined there was no way to social distance (and for sure not wear a mask) and enjoy the sun and water during the summer to keep everyone safe. With over 70 acres, they thought of safety and sanitation for the entire park.
In past years, they have shoveled snow and still gotten the park open for guests, but this year they struggled with the Coronavirus still among us. This is tough, as they employ 800 employees every season, and now they all have to find another job.
Some of the local pools around the Denver metro area are still working on the details to try and open for the season.
