"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart."
-Helen Keller
Today is the 9th anniversary of the passing of my husband. It's impossible to express how much I miss him or how blessed I feel for the time we had together.
Today I choose to remember and honor Max by linking to a couple of past posts here on ActiveRain. These were both written during November Thanksgiving Challenges from the past.

An interesting bit of trivia about the image used above:
This picture with intertwined hearts created randomly with tire tracks in my driveway. I was fascinated by this phenomenon and had to take a picture. Adding our names was a no-brainer.
Thank you, Max, for sharing your life with me!

Hi Lottie Kendall
I feel blessed he will always be with me... and for the sweet memories.
Hi Grant Schneider
Yes, we did. We were truly soul mates. I'm blessed to have shared a part of life with him.
Hi Sharon Lee
Thank you. It pretty much took me 3 years to get my act together and transition... reinventing myself. But, I'm on the other side now and can focus on the blessings.

Carol, I can't imagine how that beautiful image was created randomly - just meant to be. What an inspiring and charged moment in time. And how you've reinvented yourself into a major top contributor in the rain. I've run out of words :)) There are moments when language fails, this must be one of them.

Grief and sorrow are emotions that have their own timetable to express. The process is different for each of us. For me, it was the loss of my mother in 1975. I've never quite gotten over it. Time does make it better though!
Carol- what a beautiful post and testament to the love that you and Max share. (I use share because that love is still there) I cannot imagine your feelings now but I can only tell you that you are lucky to have had such a special relationship.
I'm so sorry for your loss but so happy that you have such sweet memories...
Happy memorial day weekend, Carol Williams
