Friday Photo: Celebrate With A Wonderful Champagne!

Every so often, we like to celebrate  an occasion of note with a premium Champagne.  Pictured above is a bottle of Ruinart Rosé Brut Champagne.  We were introduced to this brand by a friend we met in Paris who had done some consulting work for them.  The grapes for Ruinart are selected basket by basket at the source, and only the finest premier crus are used.

 

We bought a bottle and really enjoyed both they Blanc de Blanc, and subsequently their Rosé.  They are known as one of the oldest Champagne houses founded in 1729. We highly recommend it, we enjoyed it and would buy it again,

 

Here are the tasting notes from Wine Spectator

Raspberry and nectarine fruit flavors are ripe and appealing in this elegant rosé Champagne, with a fine, satiny mousse, neatly layered with accents of ground ginger, blanched almond and blood orange pith. Lightly mouthwatering, offering a lingering finish. Drink now through 2021.

I love champagne - my husband doesn't and when he does drink a sparkling wine it is a sweet one - seems unfair to share a great bottle of champagne with someone else though - and my son doesn't drink at all.

You are right - but I suspect that your champagne that you featured here doesn't make it into splits - maybe I am wrong - and I will keep my eyes open

Lise Howe I cannot recall every buying splits, since we both like Champagne.  Next time I am at Jane's or Renegade wines, I will ask.  In France last year all the restaurants serve a good house Champagne.  One of those, I just bought a bottle of, the same day we bought Ruinart.  I just checked Wine.com, and they have two good brands in splits, and also premier mini splits.com.  Cheers, A
