#Take-Out Tuesday: Please Continue To Pitch In & Take Out To Support Charlotte's Local Restaurants

Even though Charlotte is now in Phase 2 of re-opening and restaurants can now offer dine-in service at 50% capacity, our LOCAL RESTAURANTS STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT. So why not take advantage of #Take-Out Tuesday and order a meal from one of Charlotte's local restaurants today? We can all continue to pitch in and take out to support our culinary community in the Queen City while our restaurants start phasing in their dine-in service.

There are more than 350 restaurants all over the Charlotte area offering various take-out options... including carry-out, curbside pick-up, and third party delivery. When you support them on #Takeout Tuesday (or any day), you are helping to keep these businesses in business once all corona virus restrictions are fully lifted. We all have our favorite restaurants in the Charlotte area and hopefully we can pitch in today and continue to do so every Tuesday to help ensure they'll still be there for us once the shelter in place orders are lifted.

Meantime, don't forget that you can also support your favorite Charlotte restaurants by ordering gift cards from them. And no reason to limit yourself to #Take-Out Tuesday... you can take-out any day of the week... and every bit will help.

Will Hamm hi Will... no doubt 50% is better than nothing, but restaurants can't stay open for long at just 50% capacity... so we really need to keep helping with the take-out.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... we have hundreds and hundreds of restaurants in the region... right now, it's almost impossible to figure out which ones are starting to open and how. Although I heard that the one from which we order take-out each Friday was already quite busy this past Friday evening.

James Dray good morning, James. Our restaurants were allowed to open at 50% capacity as of 5pm last Friday. Not having attempted to dine in anywhere since then I don't know how full they are... and I know some were not opening until this week. It will be a gradual process, I'm sure.

Hi Nina Hollander - Our restaurants are allowed to open but not all have. I got a questionnaire from one asking what I expected once they opened. (It is a chain) They still are not open yet.

Nina, what a great Charlotte city guide to post all the restaurants in one place for take out. We moved into green phase a few days ago with more restaurants offering outdoor dining. Last weekend in our NJ/PA border village of Delaware Water Gap, the parking lots of 3 restaurants were packed for the first time this year. Without moving the car, you could stop at Sango Kura for drinks, while calling in your order next door to Joe Bosco BBQ, then walk for pie, sweets or dessert to the Village Farmer and Bakery. And it was a beautiful blue sky day!
