4th of July, Today we celebrate Independence Day 2020, a little different this year.

 independence day

As Americans we like to celebrate the things that make us special.

We have cake with numbered candles on our birthdays.

We have the World Series and Superbowl to celebrate championship athletes.

And we have the best reason of all to celebrate as Americans – our freedom!

July 4th is a combination of many of the things we hold dear to us, things that make us special.

It’s the birthday of our nation, our freedom and a time to thank those superior “athletes” our soldiers.

Our celebrations include hot dogs, watermelon and of course an evening of fireworks.

Take some time to enjoy the Fourth of July Festivities… and please, stay safe by staying home this year.

No fireworks here this July 4 -- too bad, because the fog has disappeared and it would have been spectacular. We did have watermelon slices for dessert, and Gene put on some Souza marches like Stars and Stripes Forever.

I hope you and the family are enjoying a festive evening.

Morning Bob/Sally.

While we are not perfect, it seems the media only want to point out all of the negative issues.  We are so blessed, it's time to celebrate that, don't you think?

we had a family pool, cookout with some distancing and all 100% outdoors.  The older folks in the family had a dedicated bathroom that we cleaned between every use, hopefully safe, but the first time our family was together since March.
