Celebrated in the United States each year on June 14, Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which occurred by resolution of the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.

Fly our flag proudly and especially today, please take a moment to remember those who are far from home fighting to protect our right to fly her and those who have given their life for the freedoms we all enjoy daily!

Steve ~ Happy Flag Day to you, too! And yes, we must always keep those who protect our freedoms in our hearts today and everyday.

Thanks Darleen! I am not sure if it was because it is Flag day or just a nice coincidence, but I was driving in East Dallas earlier today and was really amazed as I drove down some of the streets how many folks had their flags out. It was a nice Americana "feel good" sort of scene! :)
