Goodbye party prior to listing.
When selling unique properties, it is more than the
3 P's Place in MLS, Place a sign, and Pray.)
It is about much more.
It is about patience, dedication, tenacity, caring, and a great deal of hand-holding.
My latest home took 13 months, 13 blogs, 13 impromptu open houses, many weekly radio announcements, and two fall throughs to get to the final settlement table. And I was present for every showing.
I made a promise to the dear late Mama June that I would take care of her beloved home, not allow anyone in without me, not allow someone to purchase who wouldn't bring love and caring back to this family home.
My word was much more important than any kind of a quick sale.
Over the year there were offers, there were investors, there were contracts that went all the way through to inspection. There were offers with letters written to the seller about how they had been looking for an old home with charm, character, and love.
But it was this last couple whose scheduled vacation was canceled by COVID 19. They came to see Montebello. It was the first home they looked at, and they were in love. The rest is history.
My promise to June was good.
