I have done a great job keeping my pale skin out of extended sun all year.  One reason is because there has not been that much sun in Minnesota so far.  Today it was a beautiful day!  Not right now. I think a tornado is happening outside....crazy winds, rain, thunder, lighting, and now some calm... so this may be my last blog ever if I don't take cover soon.

Oh yeah the reason I started this blog.  I was out in the sun for 4 hours today.  I forgot the sunscreen too.  I went to do a walk through at a house in Oak Grove.  After that we went to McDonalds (kids favorite especially with the Kong Fu Panda toys).  St Francis,MN was host to its annual Pioneer Days so we went to the 1pm parade.  That was really long.  Then the kids wanted to hit a near by playground...of course they heard there was carnival going on so guess where we went...The carnival was fun for the kids. They love the petting zoo and all the rides.  I finally was able to drag them out of there.  So thats how I fried my skin. The kids were fine.  They played so hard they are able to sleep right through the storm we are having right now.  Have a great evening!

6 Comments on My First Sun Burn of the Year

Be careful.  Here in Florida I just try to stay inside most of the day unless I have to go out in it.  Just too darn hot, especially in the summer.

Chuck us white guys always seem to get our first sunburn right about now this time of year. I got mine out of the way last weekend so way to go!

Living in Hawaii, I keep sunscreen in the house, in the car and in the back pack.

I, too, have the white, Scandinavian heritage with skin that burns but does not tan.  Solution:  1) lather on the sunscreen, 2) grab your baseball cap, and 3) put on your stylin' shades - now you are good to go!

I hope you weathered the storm all right...!  I usually don't sunburn too badly, I turn brown pretty easily.  However, I try to stay out of the sun if I can.  :)
