Flower

I just had to capture the dew drops--------

Today with so much pressure facing most of us, high gas price, soaring heating fuel, illness, loss of job it is very easy to get down and just dwell on negative thoughts.

Yet if you stop for a moment and observe your surrounding you will find many things that can bring you some joy, a reason to be optimistic.

With that in mind I hope you will enjoy these shots from my personal garden.

Jennifer, those are beautiful.  Are they from around your houses?  Peonies are not something we see around the Houston area maybe it is too hot and humid.  What is that last flower?

06/15/2008 09:27 AM by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro ABR (Results Realty)

Those are absolutely beautiful photos!  My peonies are just starting.

Jennifer, what beautiful pictures for a nice Sunday morning.  I am awed by your green thumb!  I can't even keep houseplants alive (I have been told that I am a chronic overwaterer).  I have even managed to murder cacti.  Thanks for sharing these with us!

Jennifer: Your garden is just so beautiful! What are the yellow flowers....are they very tall or is that just the angle of the photo?  The peonies are amazing.

06/15/2008 09:53 PM by Diana Corcoran - Rhinebeck Real Estate (Paul Hallenbeck Real Estate)

Jennifer - the flowers are lovely and your thoughts are appreciated.  You are right and most of us don't stop and just enjoy life until something happens reminds us how important it really is to do so.

06/15/2008 11:42 PM by Lori Mode The Mode & DurhaM Team (Keller Williams Realty)

Jennifer - My garden is bursting right now too...we have really had some good growing climate this spring in Dutchess County!

06/16/2008 03:43 PM by Carol Culkin (Century 21 - Anita Ferri Realty)

Dale - There is much joy to be had in the beauty that surrounds us.

Charles - Knowing you enjoyed the photos makes me feel good I shared them.  I hope your wife will like them too.

Carole - Thank you.  Although I love gardening  the one thing I have to avoid is putting a flower to my nose.

Chris- I hope you get some in.  The Hosta is one of the plants that the deer loves.  If you look real closely you will notice fishing line in the photo.  One of my many attempts to keep them away.

Marchel - Yes the plants are from my garden.  The last plant I can't remember the name.  It is beautiful ground cover.

Hi Jennifer,

I love your flowers! back in NY we had a yardful of those hostas. I loved dividing them and making more!

We can't grow them here, there is no shady spot for them in our yard.

The last photo is called dead nettle.or lamium something.. I have a nice spreading patch of it in my yard too.
