                                         50000 Points

I joined Active Rain on March 16, 2008

I can say, absolutely, that I love Active Rain and the friends and acquaintances that I've made here. It's great beyond comprehension. I've started to slow down a little because of real-life kinds of things that have taken me away from Active Rain, but I sure hope to get back into the full swing of things over the next few weeks. I want to learn, I want to express myself, I want to make new friends, I want to talk real estate in every imaginable facet, I want to feel the success of my friends and colleagues, and I want to thank you from my heart for sharing your wisdom, your guidance, your great command of our profession, your enthusiasm, your remarkable skills and passion for real estate, and your friendship which will stay with me for the rest of my life. David and Tex

May God richly bless all of you, your families and communities throughout America, your respective brokerages, our banks, our builders, our appraisers and attorneys and all of the members of our industry who have come together to help one another in Active Rain. It is, indeed, one of the greatest privileges I have ever known, to be a part of Active Rain and to know you, my Active Rain family. Many thanks.

-David-

I will reach 20,000 points today. This is my 38th day. I hope to get to 30,000 next month. Your points though are increasing more rapidly, because your posts are very good and very helpful.

I suscribed early on to your blog.

The surprise to me, now basically a sophomore in AR, is that you have only been here 90 days.

Congratulations.

Richard

Hi Michael. It's swell to hear from you and many thanks for the nice note. Hope your having a great weekend. I want to make it back up to Virginia one day for some of that great fiddle playin' around them thar' hills :-) I spent the summer of 1972, when I came back from Great Britain,  Israel and the Middle East, working in Georgetown at Orpheus Records and Books on M Street and would walk across the Key Bridge everyday when I got off work and head for the Georgetown University Campus to study the piano. Some evenings I'd practice so late, and became so tired, that I fell asleep on the piano bench. Played lots of chess in DuPont Circle in D.C., too.  I loved Washington, Michael. Hope the week ahead is one of your best ever.

I'm honored by your comment, Richard, and grateful for your interest in my writing. I hope for every great thing for you, as I do all of my friends in Active Rain. I'm not a salesperson, although a broker, and I assist my company with referrals, technology related issues, service the needs of three offices in West Tennessee, encourage new student candidates for the area real estate schools, work for the educational needs of the real estate community, and play the piano when I need a cure for a headache, although I can give myself one occasionally with some raunchy boogie woogie :-) It's great to hear from you. I hope your having a super weekend in beautiful Chattanooga.

David:  50,000 in 90 days is amazing.  I've been an active blogger here since September of last year and I just passed the 90,000 mark.  How did you do it?  I would very much like to know!

Hi Mirela. I bought 35 thousand points from an underground wholesale points dealer in Turkmenistan that I found in a mail order catalog. :-)

Thank you, Joan. The kindness and consideration I've experienced in Active Rain is esthetic. I was of the rather stale mindset that nobody could teach an old dog like me a new trick. Gosh, I was totally out of conformity with that notion when I discovered Active Rain. Superstar Jon Washburn did a remarkable thing by bringing us all together like this. Hope your week is off to a great start.

Thanks, Mirela. Max Mewsic is a character. He's watching cartoons right now and loves Betty Boop. His girlfriends name is Lucy. She's also a tux cat. She stays outside, though, because she likes it out there and enjoys chasing squirrels. The really funny thing about Lucy is that if you ask her, "Have you got any good mews (instead of news) today, Lucy?", she'll look right up at you and go, "mew, mew, mew, mew..." for five minutes like she's telling you about everything that's been taking place in the last 24 hours. It's a riot !
