click on Cached and that will show you a picture of the screen that brought up that information. That way if it was something they had taken off, you will see what had been on their page, and if it was in fact plagarism of your writting.
Tom: As far as I know, it has not happened to me, but I have heard of others on Active Rain that is has happened to. Although... I do not know how I could find out if someone has copied my posts, and using them on their site. How do I find out ?
I have also heard of this happening, but haven't checked on it. I've had my content from my website taken and used by other stagers without consent.
Hi Karen,
To Find Out If someone is Copying your information or using an automated software simply type in some of the words into the search engine that only you use on your blogs...for example: "I type at the bottom of my blogs..."World Class Delaware Realtor" so if I search for it and someone uses itthen Bingo! Found out who is copying it! This past weekend I found a Real Estate Team in Delaware who had my posts on their website, of course I informed them on Sunday and they were unaware since it was a new "Automated Software" which runs the blogs and their belief was that all the blogs were "shared" but mine were not so they are planning on removing the software which does this...whew Thankfully I caught it because it was bringing down my rankings in the Search Engine....this is not fair to happen to anyone since the Search Engines penalize you for having "Duplicate Content" in the search engine...even if is not your fault like in my case. The important thing to do is to proactively search for your own blogs in the search engine so you know that no one is copying them! Good Luck!
Hi Pam,
Thanks So much for your help with this and we were emailing back and forth this weekend so you know the scoop! Again thanks for the much needed help!
Hi Cindy,
Yes it happens often on here simply because either some people don't know any better or do not have any care for the hard work you do and use your "google juice" of the rich content that your typing up! It's hard work to keep typing good stuff...Don't let anyone take or steal it! Cindy did you call those people who took your website information? That is not good at all and to me it is plagerism...be sure to tell them that! It should get them moving, hopefully!
Thanks All of you,
Tom Davis
