On July 22, 2020, NAR.Realtors reported on median home value price was $295,300 in June of 2020 higher 3.5% from the price of $285,400 in June of 2019.
Single family home sales were at annual rate of 4.28 million units in June of 2020 rose 19.9% from the annual rate of 3.57 million home sales in May of 2020, but decreased 9.9% from home sales rate in June of 2019. The median single family home price was $298,600 in June of 2020, increased 3.5% from June of 2019.
Condominium and co-op sales jumped 2.94% to an annual rate of 440,000 units in June of 2020 from May of 2020, but fell 22.8% from June of 2019. Median existing condo price was $262,700 in June of 2020, up 1.4% from June of 2019.
Distressed homes sales were 3.0% in June of 2020 unchanged from 3.0% in May of 2020, but gained from 2.0% in June of 2019.
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, stated “Home prices rose during the lockdown and could rise even further due to heavy buyer competition and a significant shortage of supply.”
