My daughter has allergies. She has always had allergies, but in the last few years they have gotten worse and now include her cat. She can't even touch the cat without breaking out in hives! To shave him she wears plastic dish washing gloves! That way she keeps the amount of hair floating around to a minimum! He is a long hair cat and she discovered him at the foot of her tire by the car when he was a few weeks old. That was about 7 years ago.

As you can tell from the photo, part of his tail and all of his back hair has been shaved. She still needs to shave his sides.... last month she went to an allergist for the first time since I took her back in elementary school. He was amazed that she survives on a day to day basis - he did tests - she was positive to everything except the control patch and punk trees. No wonder she sneezes non-stop and has watery eyes all the time. It is much worse than I thought!!!

Funny, but she is not that allergic to her dog. The doctor is giving her 3 injections twice a week right now to help control her allergies.... one injection is just for the cat!
