The Bid to Buy method is a non-threatening method of getting sellers and buyers together. Or as others have said, from conversation to closing or talk to title, or from bid to buy. In this market there those who want to sell and others who want to buy. How do we get this done without insulting either seller or buyer?
At bid to buy you can inspect a property that you want. If after inspection you want to make an offer, you can leave a written offer. At the close of the day when all offer or bids are in, the agent will call for a final bid. If the final bid or offer is accepatble to the seller then a contract is written and signed by both seller and purchaser. The regular proceedures are followed to the closing table.
I've conducted 16 of these this year. I can't say that I've made 16 sells, but I can say the interest and the approach is far superior to an Open House. With bid to buy those who come to buy rather than just to view a house. I get more people to Bid to buy than I've ever gotten to an Open house. It's not the end all approach, but it's different. In these days we must look for better ways to market property. Try it it may work for you.
