Most of us are looking at relaxing visits at the beach, camping and enjoying nature, or taking vacations to dazzling and beautiful places from one of your bucket lists. On the other hand, one must not forget how to maintain healthy habits, eating nutritious foods and drinks. Staying healthy is the most important thing ever and should not neglect it.
Here are some ways to stay healthy during this season;
1. Get proper rest. Aim to have at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Our bodies heal and repair while we are sleeping, so make sure to have enough rest.
2. Drink plenty of water. Make it a habit to drink more than 8 glasses of water a day. You can add mint leaves or fresh lemon to your water. Limit or do not drink soda at all, instead, you can try cucumber juice or fresh watermelon juice.
3. Eat healthy meals. They say “You are what you eat”.Be mindful when you are filling your plate and make sure those are healthy and nutritious meals. Focus more on fruits and vegetables.
4. Stay active. Try getting some exercise in the morning or you can spend a late afternoon walking around the park or in the neighborhood. You can try dancing too, it's a good cardio exercise.
5. Avoid drinking alcohol. While the effect of alcohol varies from person to person,it can leave you dehydrated quickly and you may not know it can damage your internal organs.
