This is an interesting business but it takes quite a while to learn the business.  It is relatively easy to get a real estate license.  It is much tougher to do well in this business.  Experience does matter and don't take a chance dealing with a rookie.  

I was a rookie once and I learned from an experienced mentor.  It is one of the best ways to learn the business.

In the buying and selling process, negotiation is an important skill to learn and learn well.  This is a business so do not let you emotions get in the way.  An experienced Realtor will keep emotions far away from the transaction.  It is a necessity.  We track the market, we know the inventory.  We know the process.  We are not miracle makers even thou we do take advantage of opportunities.  I have made mistakes.  You can profit from the mistakes I have made and learned from.
