Students interested in registering for the Summer Instrumental Music Festival are encouraged to do so now. The 22nd annual Summer Music Festival will be held at New Town High School, 4931 New Town Boulevard in Owings Mills, from Tuesday, June 24, through Wednesday, July 2. The Summer Music Festival is a day camp for Baltimore County Public Schools instrumental music students currently in grades 6 through 12 who are enrolled in their school music programs. No audition is required. The fee for this musical experience is $200, and transportation is available at no additional charge. During the festival, students will play in a band or orchestra at the appropriate grade level. In addition to large group rehearsals, students will participate in enrichment classes and will receive instruction to enhance instrumental performance skills. All of the musical organizations will perform in a free public concert to be held at New Town High School at 7:00 p.m. on July 2.
