PRICELESS,

My son and his best friend have been best friends since high school.  They have been walking hand in hand thru life.  They both are in the U.S. Army and have been stationed at different places around the world and at times in the same place together.  As a point my son married his first wife when he was stationed in Germany and his best friend, Jose, was in Germany at the same time at a different so guess who was Scott's best man?  They were both in the first Gulf War at different bases and they were both stationed in Bagdad  at the same time at the same base and found out about it only after they got there.  They have had their ups and downs throughout life but have always been there for each other.

I said all of that to set the stage.  Today my son Scott found out the Jose's father had passed away.  We knew that he was sick and that it was terminal.  I guess, like everybody else, didn't believe that he would pass away.  Jose is in Washington, DC stationed at the Pentagon and has left to go to the funeral down in Homestead, Fl. and has told Scott that he did not need to be there.  Well what are BEST FRIENDS for if they are not going to be there for each other?  Scott calls me and in his own way ask what he should do by telling me that he was going to Florida to be with his friend and offer his support.  When you have a friend like that you KNOW you have a BEST FRIEND.

     Scott            Jose

Wow, you must be so proud of Scott for a million different reasons.  You have obviously done a tremendous job as a parent and Scott's values ONLY reflect on what you have taught him through the years.

Leesa,

I am very PROUD of Scott, he has always been one to be very loyal to his friends but it seems like he and Jose have always been really tight.  Their friendship is rubbing off on their wives.  They know what these two have.

Thank you ma'am for stopping and commenting as always I appreciate your visit.

You are a lucky dad. Sounds like you have two very nice sons. One by birth and one sent by God to help your son through life..

They got stationed that close to each other in Baghdad? Wow. I'd say God had a hand in that! It's amazing what He'll do for His children, to keep us encouraged, as He knows we'll need it!

Lisa,

They were not aware that each other was there until Scott got in touch with Jose and found out they were there.  The top picture was taken in Scotts tent when they met up.  That truly is God!!!

Thank you for stopping by this evening.
