How often we think....if I just have had more time I would.....
- Clean my closets
- Organize the garage
- Call my sphere
- Weed the garden
- Exercise
- Learn how to.....
- Organize files
- Work on new business
- Go to the Spa
- Cook ___________from scratch
- Clean my office
- And the list goes on and on and on and on and on
My grandmother was long retired and very energetic...and lived to be 84. The neighbors would say that she cut the grass before it grew and caught the snowflakes on the shovel as they fell. She had a system for everything...some I remember thinking at the time were a little extreme. Like if you are retired and have what appeared to me as "all the time in the world"...why did it matter if you had a system for anything...or always washed on Monday ? One of the ones that still brings a smile is that she used to toast a whole loaf of bread at one time...it saved "all that time" of toasting one slice every day...yuck ! Now...I bet you are wondering where this blog is going...It's about making time...can we ? Yes...systems DO make time...the more systems and the greater your organization, the more time you have for other things be they business or pleasure. If that means getting up a half hour early to exercise, blog, plan the dinner menu OR toasting the whole loaf....having a system DOES save time...
