Last night I met a few friends and fellow Rainer Marlene Bridges for a guilt-free dinner at Brea's Fitness Grill.

I say guilt-free because diners have the opportunity to make informed decisions based on the carbs ~ fat  ~ and protein ~  listed for each dish on the menu. Well I guess everything except for the cocktails and maybe the wine.

The healthy and tasty menu is well rounded, there's something for everyone!

Are you a free-style pasta or a fitness pizza lover? You will find them both here. Salads? Of course, they're a full meal in themselves.  Fresh fish and grilled chicken are a specialty.  The unique combination of fresh herbs and spices help makes this menu really special. I can honestly say every single mean I've ever ordered has been an exception.

Dining is available indoors and out, last night we dined outdoors, the weather was ideal. Nick our enthusiastic server couldn't have been better making a few suggestions himself on the menu.  Last night we had the Chilean sea bass, thick, meaty and exceptionally tasty. The price including an outstanding tomato basil soup as a starter was $24.

Then of course we saved room for the desdert, I took this photo to the right just in time.

The casual eatery has a colorful eclectic and fun atmosphere.

The Fitness Grill is located at 103 W. Imperial Hwy. Suite A, Brea, CA 92821 ~ Phone (714) 672-0911.

It's easy to find at the center at the corner of Brea Blvd. and Imperial, just across the street from Taps Restaurant.

Sounds like a really good place, Lynda. How is Marlene doing, I hope fine and please say hello for me.  Remeber that post, I think I told you about it where your are mentioned ( again),lol. I will release it early this week ( after a little more tweaking) so watch for it. I re-shaped it slightly for Sally's Positive Anniversary Contest. I hate contests and I shouldn't enter them but it means a lot to Sally and well, this one is really special.

Hi Lynda,

Just my kind of place! It sounds like you had a very fun evening out and the menu is perfect for those who are health conscious. Perhaps this is a new trend in the restaurant industry?

Wonderful photos....

Hey Buddy,

Nice write-up on Fitness Grille.  My favorite part of course is meeting with great friends.  Something that I appreciate most is that while food selections are vast and there are many good choices, flavor is not sacrificed.  Our Chilean sea bass was absolutely scrumptious as were the veggies and oven roasted new potatoes served alongside.  Thanks for sharing this restaurant on AR.  It is one of Brea's best eateries!

I have never heard of this but it sounds like a nice place.  I LOVE that dessert pic.  It looks really, really good.  If they find a way to make the calories negative then I would be all over it!!  LOL

Oooo. Cute waiter =D  LOL.  But I was sitting here, minding my own business, happily muching on chunks of cantelope... and then I saw your desert. =(  My delicious cantelope is suddenly not so appealing.

Hi Lynda,

Hey Josh ~ Thanks for the visit and you're right about the Yorba Linda location. We used to meet there at times after hiking the Y.L. hills.

What a fascinating restaurant concept -- thanks for sharing it with me. Even though I don't agree with the mass-media notions of what constitutes healthy food (more at www.westonaprice.org if interested), this is really interesting nevertheless. Thanks for sharing!
