Some people have a compulsive need to be clean and have things in their life be as orderly as possible. This would be known as An obsessive-compulsive personality but not real OCD.
On occasion, clients say they are OCD.
For selling, that's a good thing!
It is great to have a client like this. No reason to remind them to clean, straighten out, and remove all clutter from the house because- well, it's done.
I've had a spouse tell me to tell their partner the home does NOT need to be so perfect. I'm not going to be the one to say the house is clean enough!
In contrast to a hoarder or an owner who is not a "Martha Stewart," I'll take Obsessive-Cleaning any day.
Once I had a listing let's call it a pigsty.
I asked that each room be painted, assuming they would empty each room in preparation but, was I wrong! They called to tell me they painted the dining room.
Great progress.
I stopped by figuring I could photo a nice clean dining room. Instead, the space looked precisely the same. Everything was moved a couple of feet from the wall, painted, and moved back. Getting this home ready for photos was not happening!
So yes, given a choice, give me an OCD self-labeled seller any day.
