Hard to believe this is Labor Day weekend. We've stayed busy at home this summer with a variety of projects. Now, we are enjoying the fruits of our labor as summer winds down.
It's going to be a comfortable 81 degrees today ( it's been in the 90's), so you'll find us out on the newly stained deck this afternoon enjoying a glass of wine.
Finnegan enjoys afternoons on the deck too.
It's always cooler under the trees in our newly redone fire pit. When we're tending to the gardens, or another project in the yard, we take an afternoon break and enjoy the cool respite. However, since high temperatures and gusty winds have created a fire danger, we'll have to wait before we can enjoy a fire.
The vegetable garden, lovingly tended by Bernie is keeping us well fed. Nothing like fresh heirloom tomatoes, walla walla sweet onions, and lemon cucumbers.
My little patio tomato is still going strong...
And, the roses are still blooming too.
Hope you enjoy the last official weekend of summer. There is a definitely a hint of fall in the air.
