"Dallas County Sheriff's deputies raided two houses and seized more than 15,000 pounds of marijuana from two homes near Love Field last week. Two people are now behind bars facing drug and immigration charges."

This is the largest pot seizure in Dallas County history and the street value is an estimated $15,000,000!  Can you imagine?  Two Mexican nationals were arrested: 39-year-old Jose Luis Echavarria and 35-year-old Nelson Adolfo Flores. They are in custody of I.C.E. with immigration charges pending.

10 Comments on 15,000 POUNDS of Mary Jane!

did you call it Mary Jane?  That's awesome.  =)

Hummmmm? 2 illegals and tons of pot...what are the chances of that happening?

Estimated $15 million? Is that in pasos or dollars?

And how do they determine the street value...a pound is alot cheaper than buying 1/8th or smaller.

Wouldn't that be $1000 a pound?  Wow inflation has really sky rocketed since the 70's

We had over 10 pot houses discovered in our area last year.  They were connected through a realtor and actually owned the homes.  Pretty scary stuff if you lived nearby.

Jason:  Yes, the term "Mary Jane" is a term that was often used for pot.  I didn't think that Sara was old enough to remember it, though.  Perhaps some "old person" told here about it... LOL.

Karen it wasn't me that told her...must have been some "other old person"...hehehe

Hey, that's way before my time!  Never heard it! :) You never know what's happening just down the street from your listing? Good to be aware.

Jason: Very exciting, yes, I did say Mary Jane!  (0;

Chuck:  Hmmm... Sounds like a man with experience

Robert:  Terrible isn't it?  Was the Realtor involved in the drugs?!?  Just curious.  That sounds unbelievable!

Karen:  You turkey!  I can LAWAYS count on you for comic relief!!

Ricki:  Location, location, location!  Some clients might feel it is a benefit rather than an objection (0;

Thanks guys for commenting!  You must all know how VERY much that means to me.

"other old person" I grew up in the 70s....it was always on the news and in some states like Oregon...it was legal. They probable needed that much to be able to pay for the gas to drive it over the border, all the way to Dallas.

I think we could have figured out they were of Mexican Nationality by the names....glad you pointed that out to us...or was that the whole point?

The drug problem never got out of hand until the government created the "war on drugs"...like everything else they create a war on.

Pharmacutical companies hate competition!

War on terriorism has always been a problem, but never costed the taxpayers billions until the government started a "war on it".

They created a "war on cigarettes"....more and more young people are smoking than ever before.

They created a ""war on Ponography"....and now it is out of control in this country.  Most other countries are not making such a big deal out of censorship, and they don't have near the problems that we have here....we have more rape and sexual misconduct than any other country.

Were lucky they don't create a "war on gas"!   Can you say "$50 dollars a gallon"!

I'm too old for all of this....Heres another history lesson...Hitler had absolute power....remember what happened? Napolion had absolute power....look what happened. Ivan the Terrible had absolute power, look what happened. Ceasar had absoloute power, look what happened. GW Bush had absolute power, look what happened.

President Lincoln told us many years ago what happens when one man has absolute power.

And I have never heard any of the present candidates state that they would relinquish that power back to the peoples majority.

Is it true that the war on terrierism is being sponsored by the local basset hound club ?  Or am I just "barking" up the wrong tree ?

Chuckie:  (I added the "ie" on your name to show affection) I hope you are not upset big guy.  No, my point was not the Mexicans... it was that INCREDIBLE amount of dope!!  In fact, I am currently hosting a Mexican National in my home who is testing for her citizenship.  She is a wonderful, hard working woman who speaks English, pays taxes,  and (with her nightly studying) very likely knows more American history than 5 of us put together!  I agree with you that starting a "war on" anything does not help.  More than ever as a country we need unity.  (0; Make love, not war... Peace out!

Karenie (I added ie to show affection for Chuck so I could not leave you out), I can always count on you to lighten the mood!  xoxo
