Grateful to Strong Vision for Helping to Keep Us Safe

When the virus hit us, many of us had to postpone our pedicures, hair cuts, and doctor’s appointments. As our areas began to reopen, many of us proceeded with caution.

For me, I did not rush out for my much-needed pedicure and coloring of my greys. However, there are some things that you can only postpone for so long and that includes my eye examination.  And, because I wear contacts, that yearly exam is a must.

The team at Strong Vision Center allayed all of my concerns. I mean, physical distancing can be a bit of an issue when someone is poking around your eyes.

Waiting rooms can be an incubator for germs and everything else, so you wait in your car until they are ready for you.

Masks are mandated here, so besides wearing a mask they do take your temperature as soon as you walk in the door.  Besides, they take their own temperatures twice a day and post it for you to see. When you enter, they escort you to a testing room where you can wash your hands.

All of the examining rooms have signs that show if the room has been disinfected and ready for use, or not. Chairs in the waiting room are limited and cleaned if anyone needs to sit in one.  And just as in so many places, there is plexiglass to protect you and the staff when you check out.

Nothing is perfect. We do what we need to do and in this case, Strong Vision Center made me feel very comfortable.

I have found it so odd that on the first day of this year I woke with a strong sense of urgency to have certain things taken care of.  One was my eyes, and another was my teeth.  I had eye surgery and oral surgery within the first two months of the year.  I also wanted to see a grandson, who came to visit in early March.  And, on the last day of his visit we began shutting things down because of the pandemic.   I need to get some lab work done.  I will take care of that soon.  But, at least the lion's share of what needed to be accomplished, was done early, before the lockdowns.

Kathy, it is good when you have to go to any type of doctor, and see the precautions they are practicing!

Hi Kathy it so important to do all that is needed when going to doctors. I've been to several and the eye docs place was impeccable.  I need to to in several times a year so I was able to do so even during the shut down. Thankfully.

Joan Cox I agree. It's for their benefit as well as ours.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel We've only experienced one restaurant where we were not completely satisfied.

Same here Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS And one of our restaurants put plexiglass between their booths.

George Souto That's good to know. I'm sure that their professional associations have passed along suggestions.

Anna Banana Kruchten Arizona's Top Banana! I remember right after everything shut down telling Larry not to do anything reckless that would put him in the hospital..like climbing a tree and breaking his leg or arm.

My eye exam is coming up. For me, it was the dentist that was the most anxiety generating. I postponed that appointment for several months...turned out fine though. Much like your eye doctor office, they were very cautious and I felt very safe.

Many countries in Asia do not have luxury practice social distance and do not have the means to develop vaccine. They rely on wearing the masks and wash hands as means to contain the spray of soon Covid 20. Schools have been open, so are eateries with no interruptions. I was looking at older video of gathering, parade and people wore masks if they felt they had a cold.  Wearing masks as needed is built into their culture. Masks originated from China for a long time.

Now I see people in the US are wearing and quit complaining the inconvenience having one on in public. Even what you ma called it go it on after he did something so stupid.
