Maybe I can help you with your inter-galactic home search. At least I can point you in the right direction, so to speak. We as real estate agents are always looking to boost our credentials (Graduate of Realtor Institute- GRI, Certified Short Sale Negotiator- CSSN etc). In 2019 I designated (myself) an "Intergalactic REALTOR® Agent- IGR". How did that work out you ask? Well to tell you the truth, not so good. The number of charging stations for the electric car and my hyper-space starship frankly have just been limiting my travel range. On paper I thought I had a chance, but the infrastructure around me is just lacking. I have failed to make any appointments at all out of the solar system. This is frustrating but, hey I still have the "Intergalactic Agent" title, so when the number of charging stations on Earth and the solar system increases, I will be ready and in "launch position" and just watch out then!

...The American Dream Lives for me and even in Outer Space! Yes young Luke Skywalker as Obi-Wan- Kenobi taught you, "The Force" drives us to the dream to own our own home in our own galaxy free of the tyrany of Storm Troopers and the opressive Empire.

Now, part of being an Intergalactic REALTOR® is focusing on the needs of each planet you are working with. That part is working fairly good by developing niche markets where everyone else is not focusing on (Seller May Carry, Homes with a Barn, City Light View homes etc). What works on some planets may not work on others...just saying.

What do Luke Skywalker and I (intergalactic Real Estate Agent) have in common? Well, we both love our HOMES of course! Luke in the "Empire" and me right here in Arizona. Note, I am not as good with a Lightsaber as Luke is, so let me know if you are believing this story?

The Intergalactic and the American Dream is to own a home and land. A place to flip the burgers, high school graduation parties, family Thanksgiving dinners, marking the kids growth on the wall in the hall, having grandma come over for a visit . Yes, I love all of these things about home ownershipand the American Dream.

But wait you say.... What does the American Dream have in common with Luke Skywalker and the Americana of the the Star Wars universe. OK, OK...I know this sounds strange but let me explain...

The DREAM TO OWN OUR OWN HOME!

Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan does not want to constantly wander in a "Star Cruiser" in a galaxy far far away. A day at the office can drain some of "the force" from you. They want to settle down on a safe planet in a friendly galaxy.

It is nice for Luke Skywalker to come home put his feet up and get away from the Empire at work for a nice evening and turn on the BBQ and drop a steak and watch a little of the Intergalactic World Series on the hologram television in his own living room. A strong inner urge, the "Force" is in him and us.

Obi-Wan says the "Force" to own a home is yet strong in this one....Young Luke Skywalker.

The "Force" to Own Your Own Home in Arizona

"The Force" drives Luke Skywalker 10 Ways says Obi-Wan, and it is the same for me

1. Live under your own roof, not under the roof of the Empire
2. Plant a garden, grow tomatoes
3. Put markers on the wall as young Luke Skywalker's children grows up (see family tree).
4. Repaint your home without asking a landlord or the "Empire"
5. Laugh, love and play let the family memories take root..."The Force" grows (Remember when you Luke Skywalker and your Dad Anakin played catch at home?)....times were better back then
6. Plan Christmas gatherings in your own home with the family and friends like Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbaccca, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi (in his hologram) and Yoda

                      Invite the entire Skywalker family back to HOME for Christmas or family reunions

7. Teach the children to swim in your own anti-gravity pool
8. Ride bikes or anti gravity hover boards in your own neighborhood
9. Garage sales for worn out robots or star crusiers
10. The room expansion project of your dreams a place for the children and growing family (again, see family tree)

Buying a home... broader thoughts of the public in addition to what Luke Sywalker and I want

The public just wants to own a home. Also, more than half the public thought buying a home was a good idea financially even if they plan to move out in less than three years. That's actually rarely true because transactional costs like real estate commissions, title insurance costs and mortgage fees take a big cut off the top of selling and purchase prices.

Furthermore, a huge majority, 86% of those surveyed, cite income-tax benefits -- mostly the mortgage interest deduction -- as a big reason to buy. That benefit, however, is very small for most homeowners or even nonexistent.

"Lower-income homeowners, for example, don't itemize," said Duncan, "so there is no tax benefit for them at all." Even with these issues at hand, the public has the "force' to do what their parents and grandparents did and own their own home. It provides satisfaction, comfort, and community.

Broad homeownership hopes for Americans

Fannie Mae found that no matter what their ethnicity or immigration status, Americans generally share similar positive attitudes toward homeownership, even though there are substantial differences among these groups in homeownership rates. It seems that economic opportunities, not attitudes, account for much of the variation."
