How do You Curl Paper Flowers

Paper flowers are a great craft to make. They are beautiful, fun, and never die.

Making paper flowers takes some practice and patience. Your first paper flower will probably not turn out how you want it to look.

Something that will contribute to how your paper flowers look is how you curl them.

You can use different things to curl your flowers.

My personal favorite is a vinyl scaping tool. They are the perfect size, easy to hold and work well.

To curl with a vinyl scraper, place the edge of the scraper, and apply pressure. Then while you still have pressure on the scaper, pull it against the paper. (Like you are curling a ribbon.)

Don't apply to much pressure or you will get creases in the paper.

My next favorite is a pair of scissors. Use them just like a vinyl scraper.

Another thing you can use to curl paper is a wooden dowel. Roll the paper around the dowel and you will get a curl. You will not need to worry about pressing too hard and getting a crease in the paper.

The biggest problem with a wooden dowel is that you will need different sizes to get different size curls. And sometimes, the curl will be too tight and the flower will not look right.

Now that you know what you can use to curl paper flowers, go and practice your paper flower making with this paper rose template.
