ANALYTICAL

People who are especially talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.

Personalized Strengths Insights

What makes you stand out?

Driven by your talents, you enjoy passing time with people who foresee what is possible weeks, months, years, or decades from now. You use reason to decide whether their inventive ideas are doable and sensible. You dissect their thoughts and plans into their basic parts. Because you are determined to make things better, you spend time perfecting the suggestions of these future-oriented individuals. You are determined to eliminate any problems before they happen. Because of your strengths, you are a rational thinker. You rely on reason to investigate what started a chain of events. You collect and study evidence. Then you pinpoint the key parts of a machine, idea, problem, or process. You discard bits of information that are irrelevant to your research. By nature, you usually have a blueprint -- that is, a detailed outline -- showing what you plan to do in the coming weeks, months, years, or decades. Each part of your design fits seamlessly with the step preceding it and the one immediately following it. It's very likely that you provide your teammates with a logical perspective on things. You often show your partners how one action or even a single comment caused something unexpected to occur. Experience is probably one of your best teachers. This explains why you do not automatically orchestrate an event, plan a schedule, or allocate resources the same way you did the last time. You realize every situation is unique.

Ideas for Action:

Choose work in which you are paid to analyze data, find patterns, or organize ideas. For example, you might excel in marketing, financial, or medical research or in database management, editing, or risk management.

Those words I have bolded above seem to fit well with Real Estate!

Your mind is constantly working and producing insightful analysis. Are others aware of that? Find the best way of expressing your thoughts: writing, one-on-one conversations, group discussions, perhaps lectures or presentations. Put value to your thoughts by communicating them.

Ain't that the truth!  A mind is a terrible thing.....to waste!  I think I saw that on Saturday Night Live decades ago.

Take an academic course that will expand your Analytical talents. Specifically, study people whose logic you admire.

I wondered where all those designations came from!  Now I have some insight into what drives me to learn more....

Partner with someone with strong Activator talents. This person's impatience will move you more quickly through the analytical phase into the action phase.

I know just the person - and entered into a strategic business partnership with them the day I took the evaluation - BEFORE the evaluation!

Look for patterns in data. See if you can discern a motif, precedent, or relationship in scores or numbers. By connecting the dots in the data and inferring a causal link, you may be able to help others see these patterns.

I love playing connect the dots - reminds me of my school days when I was supposed to be focused on History, German, French, Biology....you get the idea!

I am sorry Tony for keeping a one track mind.  After all I am sitting at a chess tournament.

I teach analytical thinking skills through the use of chess.  Chess is extremely fun and one of the best ways to improve those skills.  It is an exceptional way to help youngsters develop those skills.

It is considered poor etiquette to cut the chess while playing chess.
