BELIEF

People who are especially talented in the Belief theme have certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their life.

Personalized Strengths Insights

What makes you stand out?

By nature, you want your life to really matter. You are determined to contribute to the well-being of individuals and the human family. You sense you can be an influence for good in the world. Instinctively, you are determined to leave the world a better place than you found it. This explains why you welcome many kinds of people into your life. You realize when individuals fail to make their unique contributions, humankind suffers an irreparable loss. Chances are good that you periodically think about ways you can provide for the basic needs of your entire family as well as the desires of particular individuals. Perhaps caring for your loved ones is one of your major priorities. It's very likely that you may sense that your life has deep meaning. With remarkable vividness, you occasionally imagine where you will be, what you will be doing, and what you will have the ability to accomplish in the coming months, years, or decades. To some degree, your dreams of tomorrow are alive in your mind today. Perhaps you strive to transform these possibilities into reality.

Ideas for Action:

Clarify your values by thinking about one of your best days ever. How did your values play into the satisfaction that you received on that day? How can you organize your life to repeat that day as often as possible?

Great action item for me - haven't done that - but is now on the short term "to do" list.

The meaning and purpose of your work will often provide direction for others. Remind people why their work is important and how it makes a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.

I guess that fits in with the role of "Rainmaker" Team Leader.

Set aside time to ensure that you are balancing your work demands and your personal life. Your devotion to your career should not come at the expense of your strong commitment to your family.

This is one I have to be more aware of.  There is no doubt that work has taken the front seat as we continue to build the business.

Don't be afraid to give voice to your values. This will help others know who you are and how to relate to you.

I've never been accused of being the shy and retiring type!

Partner with someone who has strong Futuristic talents. This person can energize you by painting a vivid picture of the direction in which your values will lead.

I know just the person - and they are already involved with our business.  Great validation!

The one that I have been working on the lately is setting aside more time for my family and getting better balance in my life.  It is too easy to get caught up in work and not keep your priorities straight.

I'm with you there - although Suzanne and I see a lot of each other at "work" - there is not enough time spent on "play"

Sometimes I feel my wife and I e-mail more than we talk to each other.
