Today's Task - Getting Signed Up

Today's task is web marketing. I put my web page up yesterday. It's very basic, but it's a start. Today I'm looking for places to post my web address to help drive search engines and loan agents to my site.

I've found a few free notary lists to join. Do any of you Active Rainers have any suggestions of places I should sign up to get some exposure?

Try Iinkedin...a good site to get some exposure..

Thanks. I've been a member there for a while. I'll check to see about making some local business connections. I've used it mostly to connect with old colleagues and college classmates.

Dennis - good idea, exposure is the key for sure and i why your blog caught my attention. Wish I some advice for you. I'm seeking the same.

The following top sites are not free, but have reasonable fees. I think it's well worth it to be listed on them. If you get one call, it pays for the annual fee.

You can also google search for kudzu, google adwords, local.yahoo.com, msn live search.

The only one that is not free is google ad words, but if you use vista prints, you may be able to get a $25 credit to start an account.

I find the best free ones that put me on the first page of Google are:

ActiveRain.com

CraigsList.org

Kijiji.com

LauraV

Laura: Activerain put me at the top when I did a google search for my city and when I did a search for my zip.

Dennis: Another thing that I have done in the past is to google search in my area to see where my colleagues are listed and try to sign up for those sites.

Definitely www.123notary.com. You must be signed up with them to get loan signing work; not the only website to get signing work, but the best choice.

I forgot about www.kijiji.com and will sign up with them today.
