Foam Board and Fabric Headboard: Staging On A Budget

By
Home Stager with 2 Hounds Design + Home Staging

Kathy Passarette is trying to bring Staging Crafts & Creatives Group back to life and I for one wanted to try and help. I love getting great ideas from the rain but thought perhaps I gave back!

But what to add?! I don't consider myself a crafty person.

Then I read Inexpensive wall art - in action! by Monica Murphy and whamo! I do have something to add:

Below is my headboard for a staging. It was Deb Callander who suggested using the insulation board so it would be light weight and when it came to how to mount it I decided to use some selve-adhesive velcro on each corner.

The fabric was attached using a glue gun!

Ginger Foust mentions below about using batting to soften the board. I forgot to mention I did batting as well but it was in short supply so not entirely evident in the picture!

Now look through your old jobs and see what you can post to the Staging Crafts & Creatives Group!

Very nice, like the black and white alot. I made one for my daughters room last fall, but I used plywood, what type of insulation board are you referrring to? I want to do this again, but like the idea of something lighter for staging

Dane, Looks amazing, stunning actually. But, where the heck do you find the time to make a head board? I bought a ton of stuff a couple weeks ago to make some wall art and it's still in the bag. I've been so busy lately my kids don't even recognize me. Common, tell the truth...did your hubby do it?

Dane - Realtor work is exciting. I am currently planning and pulling accessories for a new listing. There is so much smarty pants stuff to figure out ;-) ... and a lot of good marketing strategies that would translate over to stagers quite nicely  -- I will share when I can come up for air longer than half a minute!

That looks great, I've seen that idea on some of the design shows, how creative.

I couldn't do that myself, wonderful job, thanks for the photo and post.
