KE'EAUMOKU TOWERS is a mixed-use condo project being developed on Ke'eaumoku Street near Walmart, offering approximately 1000 moderately priced market and affordable housing units. The 3.5 acre site fronting Keeaumoku Street encircled by Rycroft and Liona Streets will contain two high-rise towers with parking, an approximately 0.5 acre park, and roughly 88,000 square feet of commercial space. The official name of the project has yet to be announced.
Keeaumoku Development LLC, teamed with Design Partners Inc. are the developers for the Keeaumoku Towers project. Design Partners previous credits include The Collection, The Central Ala Moana, Kapilolani Residence, and Waihonua.
There are currently 3 other residential condominium projects, as well as, the Mandarin Oriental Residences and Hotel, which will sit across from the convention center, under construction in what is now being coined Midtown Ala Moana. A veritable faery circle of residential developments have sprouted up around the site of the future Ala Moana Rail Station.
The two towers will include 836 moderately priced market units and an estimated 128 affordable housing units which may include studio, 1 and 2 bedroom residential units. The eligibility requirements have not been posted. There is speculation that there will be a 30 year regulated term restriction required with the affordable housing units.
There is a high probibility the project will be pet friendly, but the details have not been publicly released yet.
